Bakersfield

Bakersfield is the main yard on the layout. From here most turns will be dispatched and railcars sorted. The yard is approximately ?????? feed long and ????? wide. Bakersfield is located on the lower level at the bottom of the helix. The yard has 2 arrival/departure tracks and ???? sorting tracks. There is a connection to the current engine facility here. The engine facility now located here will be moved into the Traffic Control Center room in a closet and be operated from there. The current facility has been determined to be insufficient to handle the number of locomotives necessary to run the railroad.
